CATEGORIES OF COMPETITION
Players will compete in 4 different categories. To promote well rounded players and assist in the prevention of overtraining, each category has a maximum amount that can be earned each day. When entering their stats, players should strictly follow the rules/guidelines that are laid out below for what is allowed/disallowed:
Swings (max 500/day)
Players simply count the swings they take. Players are allowed to take dry swings, although swings that involve hitting a ball are encouraged. If a player does dry swings, they are not allowed to accumulate more than 10 swings/minute. All swings should be max effort with emphasis on proper mechanics. When taking multiple swings, knowing the exact number may be challenging, in these situations players should underestimate their swings when entering data to ensure they are earning all swings.
Defensive Training (max 100 minutes/day)
Players track how many minutes they train to enhance defensive skills. Any drill/activity that leads towards defensive enhancement counts, provided a player is consistently active. Examples of allowed activities include but are not limited to: playing catch, pitching, throwing a ball against a wall or pitch back, defensive catching drills, taking live grounders/fly balls, and executing infield/outfield drills. Although possessing more speed, agility, and strength do assist in the overall ability of a players defense, physical training exercises DO NOT earn credit towards this category. Players should enter how many minutes they devoted to defensive training when entering stats.
Daily Strength Training (each day a different strength exercise is assigned, max 500 reps/day)
Each day a new/different strength training exercise is assigned. Players can only earn reps for doing that specific exercise on that day. By rotating/changing exercises players will have the opportunity to train different muscles and also rest muscle groups. Players must execute proper form while completing each exercise. Examples of strength training exercises could potentially include: push ups, body squats, lunges, sit ups, pull ups, etc. Because the Daily Strength Training must be manually entered, upcoming strength exercises will be displayed in the blue banner box on the top of the Player Page (where players add stats). Reminder, players cannot work ahead, they can only do the strength training assigned on any give day to earn credit.
20 yard. Sprints (max 40/day)
Players sprint at top speed a distance of at least 20 yards (only 60 ft.). Sprinting for 40yds. DOES NOT count as 2 and so on! This allows players to enhance acceleration and speed. Each sprint must be at top speed, this is not on endurance drill! Therefore, players can only accumulate 3 sprints/minute to ensure they are not too tired to execute sprints at top speed. It is recommended players start in a base stealing position.
Overall
There will be an overall category that will show how teams/individuals compare when taking into consideration all 4 categories. Players/Teams will earn points based on their standings in the other 4 categories. Point values for the overall standings will be determined in the near future.

MN NICE HONOR CODE
It is essential that all players add the correct data when adding their stats. Adding false stats would compromise the integrity of the league and also deem the individual entering the incorrect stats a cheater. All players will be required to check a box every time they add data indicating the stats are correct. Any player suspected of adding incorrect stats will be instantly deactivated and all data accrued for that individual/team will be erased.

ENTERING STATS
Whenever a player adds stats, the numbers are instantly added on to that players/teams current total and instantly updated on the leaderboard. Players should only "add" stats as they train, never total up everything as the system automatically does that. It is recommended players add stats only once per day, however a player can go back on the same day and edit their entry for that specific day.
NO "BANKING" ALLOWED
Players are not allowed to withhold entering their stats for multiple days. If a player forgets/is unable to enter stats on any given day, they can add to their next days total. However, a player cannot add any stats that were accumulated more than one day ago. Also, a player cannot earn more than the daily maximum if entering from one day ago, which could result in training not being fully counted. PLAYERS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ENTER STATS DAILY.
