TRAIN AT HOME, COMPETE AGAINST OTHER TEAMS AND PLAYERS!

MN Nice is excited to announce our 2020 Training League. With the postponements of many seasons, kids are being deprived the opportunity to enhance their baseball skills and compete against one another. The MN Nice Training League allows baseball players to train at home and unite with their teammates as they compete against other teams and individuals.
HOW IT WORKS
Players can work to improve their baseball skills and fitness levels from their own home as they prepare for the 2020 season. Players simply track their training statistics in different categories, submit their data, and see how they and their team compare to others. Players can motivate their teammates to train harder at home in an effort to push their team up in the rankings. See Current Standings

TRAINING CATEGORIES
Players/Teams compete in 4 different categories: Hit a ball, Catch a ball, Push Ups, and Planks. How teams/players perform in these categories will also determine an overall ranking. These categories were chosen as most players have the capability to do these trainings at their own home. By hitting, catching, and doing physical exercises like push ups and planks, players will inevitably be more prepared for when we finally play ball!
HIT A BALL
Players can train at home by simply hitting. As players swing they are developing bat speed and hand eye coordination. Players can hit off a tee, hit wiffle balls in their back yard, hit soft toss into a net, or if space allows, take live bp. Every time a player hits a ball, they get credit for a hit. If in a single day a player hits 100 balls off a tee and also hits 50 wiffle balls in their back yard, they earn 150 hits for that day.
CATCH A BALL
Defense is simply catching a ball. There are many ways players can practice their defensive skills: Field a grounder, catch a pop up, block a wild pitch, or just catch a throw. Whenever a catch is made, tally it up! Players can throw a ball against a wall or pitchback to catch the rebound. Players can catch live grounders and pop-ups. Every catch made, players are enhancing their defensive skills.
PUSH UPS
Push ups are an excellent baseball exercise because they can effectively train and strengthen several sections of the body. In general, push ups primarily target the muscles of the chest, arms, shoulders, and core. The primary muscles that are trained: Anterior and medial deltoids, triceps, pectoralis major, and pectoralis minor. Players, count your push ups!
PLANKS
Planks are great exercises for baseball players. Planks build stability and a strong core, and they aid in balancing and increasing overall body strength. Planks support the back and the hips, too. Players will keep track of how many minutes they hold their plank. How many minutes can you plank in a day?
HOW TO PLAY
Participating in the 2020 MN Nice Training League is simple, fun, and FREE! Players first create an account, only an e-mail and a password are required. Once registered, players train at home/field keeping track of their training stats. At any time players may login to submit their data, and keep an eye on the standings/leaderboard.
