TRAIN AT HOME, COMPETE AGAINST OTHER TEAMS AND PLAYERS
Next Training League Dates: May 4-31
Participating in the 2020 MN Nice Training League is simple, fun, and FREE!
MN Nice is excited to announce our 2020 Training League. With the postponements of many seasons, kids are being deprived the opportunity to enhance their baseball skills and compete against one another. The MN Nice Training League allows baseball players to train at home and unite with their teammates as they compete against other teams and individuals. E-mail us with any questions!
HOW IT WORKS
Players can work to improve their baseball skills and fitness levels from their own home as they prepare for the 2020 season. Players simply track their training statistics in different categories, submit their data, and see how they and their team compare to others. Players can motivate their teammates to train harder at home in an effort to push their team up in the rankings. See Current Standings ALL PLAYERS MUST READ RULES BEFORE ENTERING STATS.

TRAINING CATEGORIES
Players/Teams compete in 4 different categories: Swings, Defensive Training, Daily Strength Training, and Sprints. How teams/players perform in these categories will also determine an overall ranking. These categories were chosen as most players have the capability to do these trainings at their own home. By swinging, practicing defense, and doing physical exercises and speed training, players will inevitably be more prepared for when we finally play ball!
SWINGS (reps)
Players can train at home by simply swinging a bat. As players swing they are developing bat speed, power, and hand eye coordination. Players can take dry swings, hit off a tee, hit wiffle balls in their back yard, hit soft toss into a net, or take live batting practice. Start swinging and count them up!
DEFENSIVE TRAINING (minutes)
Players will track how much time they spend on enhancing their defensive skills. There are many ways players can practice their defensive skills: throw a ball against a wall or pitchback, play catch, practice pitching, field live grounders and pop-ups, practice blocking or framing, the list goes on and on! How many minutes per day can you dedicate to improving defensive skill?
DAILY STRENGTH TRAINING (reps)
Each day a different strength exercise will be assigned. As these strength exercise rotate on a daily basis players will have the opportunity to train different muscles throughout their body and also give much needed recovery time as they train different parts of their body. Examples of daily strength training may include: push ups, sit ups, body squats, lunges, pull ups, etc. Players will need to check the MN Nice Training League Website to see which exercises are assigned to each day.
20 yd. SPRINTS (reps)
Speed is so important! Players will execute short sprint of 20 yards (60 ft.). This will give players the opportunity to practice their acceleration and foot speed.
